Abstract: Differential pulse code modulation (DPCM) is a widely used speech coding method which uses the value of the adjacent sample correlation between the encoded data rate reduction. Delta modulation (△ M) is a differential pulse code modulation of a simplified form, it has a simple structure, high efficiency coding, error resilient performance characteristics. Simulink simulation of the experimental delta modulation encoding and decoding system, to read pre-recorded voice on your hard drive data to send to the module △ M, and then to the △ M receiver module, and finally to the voice output device.
